There are six application papers which follow the necessary knowledge papers.  They are the following:

• Audit and Assurance
• Financial Accounting
• Taxation
• Financial Reporting
• Business Strategy
• Financial Management

For students joining in September, students usually take two of the six examinations in the following December, two in the following June and two in December of the 2nd year.

For students joining in February, students usually take two examinations in the following September, two in March of the 2nd year and two in September of the 2nd year.

Advanced Stage 

There are two components:

• Technical Integration
• Advanced Case Study

Technical Integration consists of two exams, "Business Change" and "Business Reporting" covering four technical areas, namely:

• Audit and Assurance
• Business Analysis
• Corporate Reporting
• Taxation

For both intakes, Advanced Stage is taken during the final year (year three) of the training contract.

September starters study programme

The standard study leave and examinations within a three year Training Contract for students starting in September is the following:

• 2 PS subjects to December year 1
• 2 PS subjects to June year 1
• 2 PS subjects to December year 2
• 3 AS subjects to November year 3

February starters study programme

The standard study leave and examinations within a three year Training Contract for students starting in February is the following:

• 2 PS subjects to September year 1
• 2 PS subjects to March year 2
• 2 PS subjects to September year 2
• 3 AS subjects to July year 3
