Brief CV
1969: Joined Dixon Wilson
1977: Appointed partner
My main focus is on working with private clients. I have particular experience working with family offices, both setting up and ongoing.
Dixon Wilson encourages its people to enjoy a high level of professional and personal freedom within a culture of trust. I have very much thrived in this environment and it is one of the main reasons why I have spent my whole career at the firm.
Over the years I have built up a varied portfolio of private clients including entrepreneurs and wealthy family groups, with particular emphasis in working with family offices, both setting up and ongoing. I advise a number of clients in the art world and head up the firm’s Art Advisory Group. I work with my clients on investment matters alongside their investment managers. I liaise with clients to help identify the vital issues which influence asset allocation and the setting of investment objectives and follow through with the implementation. I also consult with clients on performance evaluation and manager selection.
I am experienced in advising trusts and trustees, and act as a trustee for a number of trusts and charities. In addition, I advise on high level tax issues, residence and domicile, asset protection and succession planning.
I was recently named as one of Private Client Practitioner’s 50 Most Influential 2013 within private client advisory. I am also on the panel of judges of the PAM Awards
